Well, its been 5 fabulous years, and what a magnificent ride it has been! I'm going to miss our crazy sleepovers and camping adventures! Thank you for joining me on this crazy ride Ms. Sharon, I couldn't have done it without you! I hope you had as much fun as I did! So many "firsts" for these girls...first time on a horse, first time on a roller coaster, first time at the art museum, first time spending the night at the zoo, etc...and the list goes on! How lucky we are to have shared these magical years with these girls! They're gonna ROCK the future and I can't wait to watch it happen! Happily another mom has stepped forward to take over the troop, so we can walk away knowing we started something wonderful for our kids at Red Feather! May the adventures continue for years to come! With lots of love, Ms. Lisa!

April Meeting ~
This month we decided to make friendship bracelets at our meeting. We handed out patches from the sleepover, and then Madi was supposed to present for 3 patches, but she had to leave early, so she will most likely present next month.
We are trying to decide on something fun for our meeting next month, since it will be our last meeting for Girl Scouts. Our daughters will be moving on to middle school, so Sharon and I are ready to pass the troop on to someone else...alas, so far, no one seems interested to step up, so this might be the end of our troop. We might have a campout/bridging ceremony over the summer to go out with a bang, but next month is definitely the end of Girl Scouts for us. :(
It has been an exciting, exhausting, hilarious adventure, and we are so glad we did it! I hope the girls learned as much as we did! Until next month...

Hike and Sleepover ~
We had a long weekend off from school, so instead of having a meeting we planned a hike and sleepover instead!
It was supposed to be a snowshoeing adventure, but since there was hardly any snow, it turned into a hike, but the girls didnt seem to mind.
We loaded up the girls after school and stopped at Bellair Lake for the hike and fun...the weather was perfect and the girls had a great time!
After our hike, we went to the fire station for our sleepover. The girls were pretty hungry after all that walking, so they tore into all the snacks, and then we served dinner...heart shaped pizza and salad. That really hit the spot!
After dinner the girls played several silly games, including these two which helped them earn their World Thinking Day patch. These games were hilarious...the first one you had to figure out how to have all the girls stand on one side of a sheet, and then flip it over, moving all the girls to the other side without stepping on the floor. This activity took them several tries!
This next one was even harder...they had to cross their hands right over left and then hold the hand of one person behind them and the hand of the person in front of them, then they had to figure out how to untangle themselves...
They figured this one out rather quickly...the person in the back had to twist around while crawling forward under everyone else, followed by the next person, and so on and so on...all without letting go
The evening ended with a movie, to which everyone fell asleep to, except for Kendra! Kendra was the sole survivor! :) What a blast! Girls RULE!

lots of laughs for sure!
The girls made a tent, played games, and chased each other around. It was a much different dynamic with only 8 girls this time around, and all older, and I have to admit it was much quieter and easier to manage.
Meanwhile, Andrea presented for her Musician patch and Cooking patch...way to go, Andrea!
