Valentine Sleepover ~

 Our girl scout sleepover was this weekend and the girls had a blast!  We worked on our global action patch as well as our world thinking day patch.  The girls had to go outside and find a spot in nature to explore, and the girls really got into the project.

 Naturally we had to take our group photo....here they are smiling and looking cute....

 and then i told them...."now do something silly!"...and this is what they came up with :)

 Then it was time for dinner!  Sharon created a nacho bar for the girls, and it was a big hit!

Ellie and Serenity presented for their drawing patch...great job girls!

 Then we worked on another fun activity for the world thinking day patch...each girl had to write something they liked about the other girl on their paper.

 They really seemed to enjoy these activities and I have to admit, I did too!  We all had a great time!

 The girls have no trouble entertaining themselves...they did some hair braiding, and then they decided to put on a musical performance...

During their performance, several of the girls decided to join them in the act.

We enjoyed a few movies as the evening winded down...and then it was time to call it a night.

February Meeting ~

 We had our February meeting today, and all the girls could talk about is our sleepover coming up on Saturday!  They were already planning the games they were going to play and everything!

 No one presented for a patch today, but we expect a lot of girls to present at the sleepover, so that should be fun!  We all enjoyed working on beaded Valentine bracelets and the Daisies listened to a story by Ms. Karianne.

We are also selling cookies online this year instead of door to door and booths.  I miss working the booths with the girls, but not the hassles of toting cases of cookies up and down the mountain, and scrambling around to fill orders.  We will see how the digital cookie sales go, but so far its been fun. Wish us luck!  :)

January Meeting ~

 We had a fun meeting today...first Ellie presented her work on the Entertainment Technology patch...sharing this funny photo she edited of her dad!  Well done Ellie, and congratulations on earning another patch!

 Then Ms. Karianne showed us all how to make friendship necklaces!  They are little pom poms on the end of a string, and you pull strings out to give to friends to tie onto their necklaces!

 The girls really enjoyed the craft, and had fun sharing string with all their friends...

 We listened to the story, Rainbow Fish, and then the girls looked through the troop books to decide which patch they would earn next!  A great meeting spent with wonderful friends!  Girls RULE!!!

Rollerland Fun ~

 We decided to plan a fun adventure while we were on break, and roller skating was the perfect choice!  It would give parents a chance to do last minute shopping, while getting the kids out for some fun!

 We dont have sidewalks where we live, so we dont get many opportunities to skate!  Moms and kids alike joined in on the fun!

 The kids enjoyed skating, arcade games, and they even took the laser maze challenge!

It was a great day in town with friends!
