Valentine's Day Sleepover ~

We had our girl scout sleepover last night...a Valentine's celebration!  We had wayyyyy tooo much fun!  We enjoyed pizza for dinner and then 7 girls did a presentation for badges!
Bella earned her drawing patch...
Nicole earned her drawing patch...
Aspen earned her drawing patch...
Serenity earned her dancing patch...
Rehna and Adriana shared the first few steps of their Scribe patch...and will do the rest at the next meeting...
and Andrea earned her pottery patch by sharing some of her latest clay creations!
The presentations inspired the other girls to work on their badges in the future...and then Kennedy and Kailyn taught the girls how to say Happy Valentines Day in sign language.  Kailyn has been teaching herself sign language lately, so she was excited to share some things she learned with the girls.
The girls played games and had lots of fun!

They all made dozens of rubber band bracelets on their rainbow looms, while Ms. Angie taught the girls a few designs...

and then we made homemade candles out of old crayons!  Peeling the paper was a bit of a chore, but they all managed to get one completed.
We also made homemade lip gloss.  We used two recipes...one with Vaseline and Kool Aid and the other with Unpetroleum Jelly and Kool Aid.  Kennedy was in charge of microwaving and stirring...but after we completed about 40 lip glosses, i think she was ready to call it quits!  She was a great helper in the kitchen though and i sure appreciated it!
As it was nearing midnight, we had the girls wind down with popcorn and a movie, "Ice Age-Continental Drift".  Several of the girls crashed out during that movie, but we still had some die-hards up afterwords, so we put in another movie, "Maleficent".  We had 4 girls make it to the end of that movie and since it was 3am, we called it a night.
Come morning, the girls, one by one, woke up and quietly sat at the rainbow loom table to make more rubber band bracelets.  Then we enjoyed a yogurt bar and egg casserole (yum...thanks sharon)!  Thanks to our awesome volunteers....Joy, Angie, and Brenda...we were able to get the place cleaned up and ready to go early!  Thanks soooo much for all of your help ladies....sharon and i really appreciated it!  We hope the girls had as much fun as we did!  :)  Girls RULE!
