Darlene at the library put together a Geo Cache hike for the girls today out on Elf Lane. We started with a review of compass use, and then we were introduced to the GPS, then we were off on our adventure!
We got to Elf Lane and the kids were very excited...you never know what kind of cool things you will see when you're there!
The compass is leading us up this rocky slope...and behind this giant rock....we found it! You can barely make out the shiny tin box just below the rock Jordyn is sitting on...good eyes, Andrea!
It was a gorgeous day out, not too hot, and everything was lush and green from all the rains we've had! There were wild iris all over the place!
And look....we found another one! Geo Caching is lots of fun!
On our way back to the library, we stopped to enjoy a snack in this shady spot! What a great day! Thanks for the adventure Darlene!
